My jewelry celebrates the natural world and ancient art that is deeply connected to it such as petroglyphs from the American Southwest, the Lascaux cave paintings in France, Greek Cycladic figurines carved from white marble, and African masks and wood carvings. These early visual forms speak to me about the sacredness of life, art, and storytelling, and I try to capture their power in my own renditions.

At times my work centers on representations of the human figure or animal forms found in ancient art; at other times, it moves into abstraction to capture visual elements and textures of the natural world that surround us. I work primarily in sterling silver and semi-precious stones, although I constantly strive to add to my skills by incorporating new techniques such as keum boo, the traditional Korean art form of fusing 24k gold to pure silver.
